The Boy Who cried Werewolf follows Jordan Sands (Justice), a shy and unpopular teen who, through an accident, is transformed into a werewolf during a visit to Wolfsberg, Romania where her family has inherited an ancient castle. Jordan’s dark, hairy side is dangerous to others, and the change confuses her new suitor, Goran (Steven Grayhm), the town’s young, attractive butcher. In order to salvage her crush and return back to her normal self, Jordan must rely on her stern Romanian housekeeper Madame Varcolac (Shields)–the longtime proprietor of the castle who is the only one privy to all of its peculiarities–and her pesky little brother (Chase Ellison, Tooth Fairy) to save her before it’s too late.

vampire film for kids. Yes, the actors aren't top notch, yes the story is cliché, but it's still a fun watch. the film sure made me wish I'd go to Romania instead.I feel a bit offended when Canada is displayed with cops on horses (I wish!, we might have some but I never seen one) and some retarded people eating hot docs (yeah...) and unable to speak proper... The werewolf costumes aren't THAT bad, and, well as a werewolf fan i have to admit i envy the guy who got to be a werewolf from birthright ^_^ And the cute main actress is quite aluring both as a "invisible" girl at school and as the hootie at the end. It was a friendly family film with a lot of goofs and gags. My 4 year old loved it. Turn off the old think melon and enjoy a bit of silly entertainment. Well, the kids soon discover some secrets in the castle, involving the family history. The caretaker Madame V (Brooke Shields) resembles Frau Blücher from Young Frankenstein, down to an animal sound whenever her name is spoken (a wolf, in this case). OK, it is not Shakespeare, but come on folks; it is a werewolf Vs.

I also like the stunts, which were excellently performed by the stunt doubles/actors. This film MIGHT be a little bit scary for very young kids, considering there are monsters involved, with very well done special effects. Do not watch this film expecting a new amazing werewolf film. Victoria Justice, in the role of Jordan Sands, was the one carrying the film though, being the central character and all, and she did so nicely. But my day got way better with this film! Enjoy, not as a documentary, not as a serious adult horror flick, but as a excellent warm family film, with a excellent mix of gore and humor, and life lessons that can change shame into hope. The people who made this film might not know how to make documentaries about Romania, but they made a hell of a excellent family film, and they know how to teach kids good values.Enjoy ^_^PS: The fan of twilight will probably hate it too. From the gags trying to scare the sister to the constant sibling-like digs on each other and the side-splitting recurring gag with a character's name, there's some really funny stuff in here and it gets better once the transformation occurs. and scratching their asses... It was a sort of self parody of a legend distorting real facts. Now also we first heard and saw this film on Nickelodeon. But there are some mistakes, which are listed on the goof list.

Add another review. My 4 year old loved it. This is top notch made for TV film. Despite accent problems, and invented locations, to which most audiences may be oblivious, the entire production works well, and my daughter and I definitely recommend it! Well as a werewolf fan (almost maniac) i have to say i wasn't expecting much from this film. I also like the stunts, which were excellently performed by the stunt doubles/actors. Yes, the actors aren't top notch, yes the story is cliché, but it's still a fun watch. Sure, the film borrows heavily on the old classic werewolf films, but it does so in a good manner. There is a time and a place for everything.I also liked how they displayed that when given the chance without constant hammering on the head, even the most awkward nerd can blossom into a magnificent lady. OK, it is not Shakespeare, but come on folks; it is a werewolf Vs. The film takes place mostly on the family's trip to Romania, where they travel to presumably to sell the castle.

It won an award, as a kid program. This was made to be for kids. Simple ways than the hysterical material gain... Hunter surprises everyone when he suddenly turns into a bloodline werewolf, breaks his chains and a battle begins. The story was fast paced, predictable of course, but still it kept a good pace.I was thoroughly amused throughout the entire film, and I am sure that it will be a hit with many younger viewers. Having sat through this film, as an adult, I have to say that "The Boy Who Cried Werewolf" is actually quite surprisingly good. Add another review. someone will always find a way to find it heartwarming and will laugh with you, instead of at you. Hunter turns to Madam V who informs him that his family has been the protectors of the town for centuries and werewolves are good things, but there is a formula to cure Jordan's condition. This film MIGHT be a little bit scary for very young kids, considering there are monsters involved, with very well done special effects.

the film sure made me wish I'd go to Romania instead.I feel a bit offended when Canada is displayed with cops on horses (I wish!, we might have some but I never seen one) and some retarded people eating hot docs (yeah...) and unable to speak proper... There's a lot of good in this about making an even mix between tween-inspired parts and more normal horror motifs, and there's plenty to both sides in here. There is a time and a place for everything.I also liked how they displayed that when given the chance without constant hammering on the head, even the most awkward nerd can blossom into a magnificent lady. The vampires loose and Paulina seems to have been destroyed. After inheriting a family castle in Romania, a family discovers the dark secret behind the local legend of a vicious beast roaming the city as they race to stop a horde of vampires from taking control of the castle. This here turned out to be quite an enjoyable and entertaining kiddie-centered horror-comedy. I am writing this review after reading the "one star only" from a Romanian. Having sat through this film, as an adult, I have to say that "The Boy Who Cried Werewolf" is actually quite surprisingly good. But also hats off to Chase Ellison, playing Hunter Sands, he came off very energetic and believable in the role he was given. The effects in the film were actually quite good, especially for a film of this caliber, being Nickelodeon and all. My 4 year old loved it. I love small details in films, and the ones in "The Boy Who Cried Werewolf" actually showed there had been put a lot of effort into the production.I think "The Boy Who Cried Werewolf" actually is quite suitable for young and mature audiences alike.

Now I am a hard core horror fan and that's pretty much all I watch. Even if this was all fake, it made me think "wow I would love to see that country even more". Even if messing with people too much won't make you credible when someone will genuinely be in danger, so you shouldn't push it too far, and not all the time. But also hats off to Chase Ellison, playing Hunter Sands, he came off very energetic and believable in the role he was given. The effects in the film were actually quite good, especially for a film of this caliber, being Nickelodeon and all. There were so many small and fantastic details to everything. Anyway, Underworld wouldn't have been popular enough to have sequels if she wore this) XD But that's all those little silly details that made it so hilarious!!! At the second I heard the house keeper's name, I was hooked! Just enjoy it for what it is: A excellent kid film to loosen up~ <3 So I just finished watching "The Boy Who Cried Werewolf", a film on Nickelodeon. As well, the whole thing is dropped once they get to the castle anyway, leaving the inclusion rather curious. Turn off the old think melon and enjoy a bit of silly entertainment. It makes for a pretty enjoyable time by creating a pretty strong connection through the twisted mythology with the action in the last half which is just non-stop brawling between the two werewolves and the vampire clan through the catacombs under the castle, through the cemetery and finally into the neighboring warehouse providing plenty of fun times as the fight progresses, and overall this is mixed quite nicely with the humorous aspects of the story. It was like entertainment above entertainment.

I am utterly ignorant of that place and can get amused with pure absurdity, but in my heart, the warm feeling I got from seeing this film, I believe that this part is accurate. Without a bloodline werewolf, the vampires will rise up and the world will suffer. Anyway, Underworld wouldn't have been popular enough to have sequels if she wore this) XD But that's all those little silly details that made it so hilarious!!! At the second I heard the house keeper's name, I was hooked! Just enjoy it for what it is: A excellent kid film to loosen up~ <3 So I just finished watching "The Boy Who Cried Werewolf", a film on Nickelodeon. seeming creepy but oh so lovable in their differences. I also like the stunts, which were excellently performed by the stunt doubles/actors. We mustn't be blind by loneliness and gesture of affections, sometimes they hide the most selfish and cruel intents.I didn't learn much about Romanian culture... Having sat through this film, as an adult, I have to say that "The Boy Who Cried Werewolf" is actually quite surprisingly good. The fact that the creatures are done with practical make-up effects that look rather impressive for the realism and excellent they look in design and movement is another key factor here, and the only real flaws come from the beginnings of their life. Or a latex fetishist... someone will always find a way to find it heartwarming and will laugh with you, instead of at you.

This is actually a film the kids loved, and I could sit through! The werewolves are actually pretty good looking and I applaud them on that. Otherwise, there's not much to dislike here.Rated Unrated/PG: Violence. Now also we first heard and saw this film on Nickelodeon. The trouble it goes to set her up as a goofy klutz only to be saved by the werewolf curse is way too clichéd and feels too overwrought to be of much originality. There were so many small and fantastic details to everything. Victoria Justice, in the role of Jordan Sands, was the one carrying the film though, being the central character and all, and she did so nicely. But a father should choose someone who won't endanger the kids. And it can be a very gorgeous guy who's way more sincere and kind, someone even better than what you thought you wanted. There is beauty even in shyness, in even flaws, in simplicity, in natural beauty... Victoria Justice especially, super talented.

But I suspect it is because the legendary Greg Nicotero had a finger to play here. Or a latex fetishist... The tween backbone here is all well-handled with the different attitudes toward the single father dating, the romance for once isn't obtrusive to the story in detriment for the actual horror, and the beginning where they explore the castle is just filled with some quality gags that really showcase the goofier humor present that really appeals to kids. Hunter turns to Madam V who informs him that his family has been the protectors of the town for centuries and werewolves are good things, but there is a formula to cure Jordan's condition. the film sure made me wish I'd go to Romania instead.I feel a bit offended when Canada is displayed with cops on horses (I wish!, we might have some but I never seen one) and some retarded people eating hot docs (yeah...) and unable to speak proper... Even if messing with people too much won't make you credible when someone will genuinely be in danger, so you shouldn't push it too far, and not all the time. The facts might not be, but I think they respected the spirit. And about wanting to go to America, this was just that one boy. and everything was made up... I see why this can be seen as offending to them, but I don't think this film should have been taken as an historical documentary. And it is a good way for younger viewers to get introduced to the werewolves in films. And the cast was superb, especially Brooke Shields. But a father should choose someone who won't endanger the kids. The fact that the creatures are done with practical make-up effects that look rather impressive for the realism and excellent they look in design and movement is another key factor here, and the only real flaws come from the beginnings of their life. Do not watch this film expecting a new amazing werewolf film. The antics that depict the transformation, from the heightened sense and reactions to the lessening of objection towards previously-objectionable attitudes and how their date goes which is constantly threatened by her burgeoning abilities for some nice laughs but knows to transition into horror territory nicely as once those abilities creep in, the explanation and back-story about the creature amongst the town's history is wonderfully handled. vampire film for kids. Sure, the film borrows heavily on the old classic werewolf films, but it does so in a good manner. This film MIGHT be a little bit scary for very young kids, considering there are monsters involved, with very well done special effects. Paulina seems to return that interest; however we soon learn that she has her own reasons for wanting to gain control of the mansion.

We mustn't be blind by loneliness and gesture of affections, sometimes they hide the most selfish and cruel intents.I didn't learn much about Romanian culture... The caretaker Madame V (Brooke Shields) resembles Frau Blücher from Young Frankenstein, down to an animal sound whenever her name is spoken (a wolf, in this case). As they leave a moving van is parked across the street and it is revealed that Paulina is moving in to continue her efforts to establish the vampire realm. Otherwise, there's not much to dislike here.Rated Unrated/PG: Violence. Or a latex fetishist... I had expected it to be more of a sassy family film.First of all, though being a Nickelodeon film, the story was rather interesting, with just enough action and suspense to keep it all going. Jordan and her brother, Hunter, come along to enjoy the sites, but (in another Young Frankenstein nod) discover the hidden lab. When Paulina turns out to be the vampire in charge, things begin to get interesting and lead to the Sands family being chained up. If I wanted to see something accurate, I'd watch "Dark Prince: The True Story of Dracula", but this film wasn't meant to inform, but to entertain, a very warm way that actually makes you think. The father becomes interested in a local real estate agent, Paulina, who is offering to sell the property for the family.

Sure, the film borrows heavily on the old classic werewolf films, but it does so in a good manner. Congrats to everyone involved with this film! This is a excellent film. It was a friendly family film with a lot of goofs and gags. someone will always find a way to find it heartwarming and will laugh with you, instead of at you. But I suspect it is because the legendary Greg Nicotero had a finger to play here. I would say it is better than most Disney Channel Originals (which I love, usually).I hope to see more films from Nickelodeon- this one shows they definitely have some real acting talent on the network. For the youngsters, there is a lot of action and thrills going on, and the mood is kind of brooding and dark. Emphasis on kid. This might contain spoilers: In the film, we learn that even the kids who good around and seem to be running from reality can courageously face the facts and save the day when an important time comes, and they should be allowed to goof until then because it doesn't define who they can be when it truly matters, and should be taken seriously. Despite accent problems, and invented locations, to which most audiences may be oblivious, the entire production works well, and my daughter and I definitely recommend it!
