In San Cazador, California, the clumsy vampire hunter Edgar Frog is evicted from his trailer. But the best-seller writer Gwen Lieber offers him a job to destroy the head vampire DJ X that promotes worldwide raves to increase his army of undead. Gwen tells that her brother Peter disappeared in Ibiza two years ago in an X-Party promoted by the alpha-vampire. Now DJ X is coming to San Cazador to promote a sacrifice during a party in the blood moon on the next Friday, and Edgar discovers that the rave will take place in a slaughterhouse in an island. Gwen hires also the Hollywood participant of reality show Lars von Goetz that comes with the cameraman Claus. Edgar invites his brother Alan to join the team but he declines, and he teams up with his friend Zoe. When the group finds DJ X, Edgar discloses a secret about the head-vampire. Here we have Edgar Frog, with a few problems. I didn't like that 'Graphic Novel' customer at the beginning.. Scenes from Lost Boys are incorporated during flashback moments, the original theme song Cry Little Sister is used at several points and numerous references are made the original storyline. Definitely worth a buy here! Good action, good special effects and feels like a big budget film. This is really the films only downfall, but it proves to be a big one, and is about the only critique I have of the film.If you loved the original and passed on the tribe, continue to do so and watch this one instead. Even though Haim was technically still living when they filmed it, the fact that he died not longer after is a somewhat haunting thought in itself. Lots of blood and a fair bit of humour. But if you are looking for a good Frog brothers film full of nostalgia, then like me, you will enjoy this. He would have been excellent in part 4. One scene of note worth is Edgar's visit to Sam's grave.

In fact, I watched it 3 times last night.I didn't give it a 10 only because, and I am going to take my own advice on this and stick with the original version of the song, is that I felt Cry Little Sister was a little too fast of a speed for me. We asked for more Feldman and Newlander, the Thirst has loads of that. You know those films that stay with you for a few days? For me, this is one of em. there is so many things I really liked about this one. Sadly, once again, the vampires in this are pretty much just 'there', there's no real back ground to them, no real character, they're evil, they have to be stopped, end of story. It's proof that real vampires(and vampire films)are still around at least. Feldman is excellent here, and though one might think he was overacting a tad, when you see him in flashbacks you realize he really isn't overacting, he's actually playing the character the same way he did when he was a kid.So, all in all I was very pleased. Good twist at the end (I thought the chick was the Master). In my mind, all of that is key in making this film work so well. What's even funnier to me is that the author is clearly inspired by Stephanie Meyer(Of 'Twilight' awfulness).

I saw "The Tribe" and like everyone else, pretty much thought it was crap. If you haven't seen it yet, give it a chance because you'll be more then happy with it. But then comes a glimmer of hope in the form of an author of a series of books, who wants Edgar to help her get back her kidnapped brother from a group of vamps led by 'DJ X'. If your expecting a solid follow-up to the first one, then forget it. Exactly what Part 2 should have been. I love how the Frog brothers are back together and how they mentioned what Star, Laddy, Michael and Sam have been up to, although it almost seemed like they shoved all that into the conversation just to get it out of the way, but whatever. While nowhere near as good as the original and not in the same feel/tone as it, this is a good film on it's own terms.Opening up with a flashback to 5 years previous, we see what had happened to Alan Frog finally, in that he was turned into a vamp by ostensibly being force to drink vamp blood during an assault in Washington to save a congressman. I give it 9/10 for pure entertainment. But, if you are a hardcore fan of the 1st one you will be entertained.

The Thirst moves quickly and fast and is full of action. Essentially it was like the first only not as good.'Lost Boys: The Thirst' is a whole different affair. I saw The Lost Boys: The Thirst last night and I was hoping I would enjoy it & I did. but it's definitely better than 'Twilight' by miles. It's not the best film ever, it does have it's flaws... Lots of blood and a fair bit of humour. If you haven't seen it yet, give it a chance because you'll be more then happy with it. Bring on the next Lost Boys film! When I heard that they were doing a sequel to 'Lost Boys', my first thought was "Here we go again.", and 'The Tribe' did nothing to squash that opinion. The action in this film was excellent, the music...especially the track in the opening credits was excellent. One scene of note worth is Edgar's visit to Sam's grave.

I saw "The Tribe" and like everyone else, pretty much thought it was crap. I must admit, my expectations weren't too high for this one after 'Lost Boys: The Tribe'. The Thirst moves quickly and fast and is full of action. So it's safe to say that i wasn't expecting much from this.Well, I was wrong. The film is good. Even worse for him is the fact that he's clearly grieving the loss of his friend Sam(Corey Haim RIP). Obviously there is decidedly a lot more Corey Feldman content... This looks like a film, it has a good script, good acting, good music and an overall feel of being a complete and finished product. (...please make part 4) I have to be honest, I didn't expect too much from the Thirst. Definitely worth a buy here! Good action, good special effects and feels like a big budget film. I was very surprised by it and it is a fitting tribute to Corey Haim.

It still has a few rough spots here and there but I really have to say that I'm very pleased with how this turned out and I'd recommend it to anyone. The thing that strikes me the most is how much attention was payed to the original with this one, something that was really lacking in the Lost Boys 2. Just like everyone else says, It's more of a spin-off then a sequel, and no one here is getting nominated for an Oscar. It's not the best film ever, it does have it's flaws... So it's safe to say that i wasn't expecting much from this.Well, I was wrong. The film is good. More of a modern update / remake that was marketed as some sort of sequel. Not only is a complete picture painted of what happened to each of the characters from Lost Boys but you get a real sense that this film picks up years later rather then having been made to try and reboot or update the original. There are several flashbacks that feature Corey Haim that are really heartbreaking in light of what you and I know in reality.A little undecided about the ending, and what "future direction" that portends, but things are suitably bookended thus far for the existing trilogy.Good times. There were a few tiny parts of the script that made me say 'duh', but so what? the 'Geez Louise' made up for it LOL. The lines just get funnier from Edgar. I won't say what happens, suffice to say it culminates in one of the best vampire killings I've seen in a film in quite a long time. The overall tone of the film is rather light hearted, aside from a few bleak/dark scenes that harken back to the original. It's worth noting as well that the humor of the original is more then present with this one and that really helps the film feel worthy of bearing the Lost Boys title. More of a modern update / remake that was marketed as some sort of sequel. Lots of blood and a fair bit of humour. The supporting cast is OK, there isn't really a David type of character that steals the show. Bring on the next Lost Boys film! This too shall become a cult classic with a very definitive spot on the shelf next to the original. Of course there's a lot more to this flick but I don't want to give too much away.

Even though Haim was technically still living when they filmed it, the fact that he died not longer after is a somewhat haunting thought in itself. Why they want to sacrifice him does not become evident until the ending, and ~should~ have raised Edgar's curiosity, but did not.Having destroyed Sam, who apparently became a vamp, he seems to be stuck in a depression, and the film does not spell it out, but this would be the reason for his being 'sloppy' as I took it.When they do go to rescue the brother, the film does what the tribe failed to do....turn 180 degrees in the last 20 minutes and throw you a curve. Sadly, once again, the vampires in this are pretty much just 'there', there's no real back ground to them, no real character, they're evil, they have to be stopped, end of story. there is so many things I really liked about this one. Although....next time, it won't be vamps they'll have to worry about ;) In as much as Lost Boys 2 was a disappointment, this film is a treat to watch and in fact is so much better then the previous sequel I'd argue that this should have gone to the theater. just awesome, perfect. Lost Boys itself had that to a degree and it can certainly be found here. All in all I really enjoyed watching this and I can see myself watching it again in the future. This should have been the sequel. It's very obvious from the get go that this is a film for us FANS. The only thing missing (unless I didn't see it) was the dedication to Haim. You know those films that stay with you for a few days? For me, this is one of em.
